Frequently Asked Questions
How much does Email Grabber cost?
You can purchase a license for only $16.95. Plus, you get free lifetime updates.
What are free lifetime updates?
We believe that when you buy software, you should have the right to use its latest, most functional version.
That's why when you buy Email Grabber you not only get the latest version, but every update we release, whether it is an update for the version you own or a future version.
How can I use Email Grabber?
If you wish to extract the email addresses from a known web site, just insert the starting website address and press Start. Email Grabber will extract email addresses. Aditionally, it will follow all internet addresses it finds.
Another possible starting point is to use keywords. Email Grabber will search the web for those keywords and proceed from there.
Email Grabber "moves away" from the starting web site very quickly . How can I prevent it?
Email Grabber will follow addresses in the order it collects them. If you wish to prevent Email Grabber from "moving away" from the starting web site, you can use Filters. This way you can specify which internet addresses to follow (do not insert http://). You can restrict the web sites searched using this feature.
What is the "Merge Files" option?
Using the "Merge Files" option you can select multiple text files from your hard drive, extract all email addresses and combine them, by removing duplicate emails.
What are the trial version's limitations?
You can use Email Grabber's trial version for an unlimited period. However, the trial version only allows you to process 1000 URL's at a time and the email addresses collected are obfuscated.
How can I activate my trial version?
You can convert your trial version to a full version by inserting your serial number. To get a serial number please use the option Buy. As soon as your payment is processed, a serial number will be emailed to you.
When I try to start Email Grabber I get an error message saying that the Java Runtime Environment could not be found. How can I solve this?
Email Grabber requires the Java Runtime Environment 1.5 to be installed. The Java Runtime Environment is free software and can be obtained at http://www.java.com/
What are "levels"?
Each URL has a level assigned depending on their "distance" to the starting domain name.
For example, for a keyword search, the search engine result pages will have Level 0. Each result will have a Level of 1 (for example www.resultlink1.com). Now if www.resultlink1.com has a link to www.differentdomain.com, that link will have a Level of 2.
By filtering the number of levels allowed, you have a powerful tool to keep Email Grabber focused on your objective.
